Brockmans Gin at The Stone Grill

The gin scene has exploded over the past couple of years with more artisan distillers around now than at any time before. The quality and refinement of many of those gins means choice is definitely something we are not short of right now. One particular gin that caught our attention was Brockmans Gin. It is so good, we now feature it at The Stone Grill.

Brockmans Gin is a relatively new brand launched in 2008 and is one of the UK’s fastest growing gin brands. Like many newer gins, it is third-party distilled with the flavouring being added after initial distillation. It has a lower juniper count than many gins which means it can reach those not traditionally comfortable drinking gin. With subtle fruit flavours and smooth finish, it’s a great drink to try on a night out.

The Gin Guide says this about Brockmans Gin:

‘Brockmans Gin is sweet, fruity and contemporary with a low prominence of juniper, which has caused it to somewhat split opinion. However, the numbers show that Brockmans Gin has captured the interest of spirits drinkers across the world, achieving average growth of over 100% per year from 2010 to 2017. If you’re looking for a traditional, juniper-led gin, Brockmans Gin won’t be for you. If you’re looking to try something fruity and different, or tempt a non-gin drinker to reconsider the category, then Brockmans is worth a try.’

Brockmans Burlesque recipe

If you fancy trying a Brockmans at The Stone Grill, you can have in the traditional way with tonic or try one of the many gin cocktails available. A personal favourite is the Brockmans Burlesque.

  • 40ml Brockmans Gin
  • 15ml Dry Vermouth
  • 20ml Hibiscus syrup
  • 5 blackberries, muddled
  • 7 drops of Burlesque bitters

Use a shaker to muddle the blackberries and add the other ingredients. Shake double strain and pour over ice. Garnish with a hibiscus leaf, blackberry and a plum slice to finish.

Brockmans Gin is one of the many wines and spirits we stock at The Stone Grill but as one of our newer drinks, it is well worth trying if you like a lively drink. You don’t have to be a gin fan to enjoy it either. If you like fruity drinks, you will love this!

Try it at The Stone Grill Blackpool or The Stone Grill Manchester.
